Celebrate Fat Tuesday with this rich and delicious easy Bread Pudding!

  • 1 loaf of french baguette- cubed
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 cups milk
  • ½ cup raisins
  • whipped cream for topping
  1. Butter a 8 inch casserole dish and set oven at 350 degrees
  2. Place cubed bread in the casserole dish
  3. Whisk the eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. Whisk in milk and blend well.
  5. Pour mixture over the bread and let stand for 15 minutes.
  6. Once bread is thoroughly soaked in the milk mixture, add the raisins on top.
  7. Press the raisins into the bread mixture.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out almost clean.
  9. Serve warm and topped with whipped cream.
  10. Enjoy!
