Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved Firefighters; our real life every day heroes in uniform. I mean, what kid doesn’t love a Firefighter and those awesome bright red firetrucks? I remember reading about them saving cats from trees in my reading books and in Saturday morning cartoons. Maybe it was back then when the little seed was planted and I dreamed of one day becoming a firefighter?
I spent my High School years at the local fire station as an Explorer and loved spending my weekends there volunteering. I remember scrubbing and rolling 1000s of feet of fire hose, washing the firetrucks from top to bottom, hiking mountains in full gear, agility test preparations and selling Christmas Trees all December long. Such a wonderful experience for a young teenage girl. Fast forward 30 years and changes in my career path, although I’m not a firefighter today, my admiration and respect for the firefighters remain. So, naturally when I saw all the wonderful Firefighter Party Products at Oriental Trading Company, I jumped at the opportunity to relive my childhood dream with a Firefighter Party! I’m excited to be sharing two quick and super easy Firefighter Party Decorations with you all!
