When Obziy reached out and sent me their DTF Standard Printer (DP1 Series) to review, I was genuinely curious to see how it would fit into a real creator workflow, not just in theory, but in everyday use. After spending time setting it up, printing transfers, and pressing garments, I can confidently say this system exceeded my expectations in both ease of use and final results.

What Is the Obziy DP1 Series DTF Standard Printer?
The Obziy DP1 Series is a desktop DTF printer designed for creators, small businesses, and custom apparel shops that want professional-quality prints without a steep learning curve. Unboxing & First Impressions
Right out of the crate, the Obziy DP1 feels thoughtfully designed. Everything was well packed, clearly labeled, and arranged in a way that made setup intuitive instead of intimidating. This matters more than people realize, especially if you’re new to DTF printing or coming from Cricut, sublimation, or vinyl-based projects.
The printer has a solid, professional build without being bulky, and it fits comfortably on a standard worktable. For creators working out of a craft room or home studio (like me), space efficiency is a huge win.
Setup Process: Surprisingly Easy and Beginner-Friendly
One of the standout aspects of this printer was how simple the setup process was.
From unboxing to first print took about 30–45 minutes, and that includes:

There was no complicated calibration process, no confusing menus, and no “tech headache” moments. The instructions were clear, and the system felt designed for real users, not just technicians. The only thing I had to “assemble” was the film roller, which was super easy!

Printing Quality: Crisp, Vibrant, and Lightweight on Fabric
Once everything was up and running, I printed several test designs. The results were immediately impressive!

From a comfort standpoint (especially if you sell apparel) this makes a noticeable difference.

Pressure is just as important as temperature. This press lets you fine-tune the amount of force applied to the transfer, which helps avoid over-compression (which can dull colors) or under-pressure (which can lead to weak adhesion).

If you’re new to DTF, the curing step can feel intimidating, but this is where the Obziy DTF oven really shines.

Coming Soon: Obziy Vertical All-In-One Shaker Oven
Another exciting part of the Obziy DTF lineup (and one I’ll be testing soon) is the new vertical all-in-one shaker oven. While I didn’t have this unit in hand yet at the time of publishing, it’s designed to be a major upgrade to traditional DTF powder and curing setups, especially for creators working in smaller spaces.
This new shaker oven moves away from the older split shaker + dryer style and instead uses an integrated vertical design, combining powder application, shaking, and curing into a single streamlined unit. The goal is to simplify the DTF workflow while significantly reducing the amount of space required in your studio.

Another feature that caught my attention is the built-in quad filtration system, which is designed to help manage smoke and airborne particles during the curing process. This means fewer add-on accessories and a cleaner overall workspace, something many indoor creators will appreciate.
The shaker oven also incorporates anti-static design elements, which are meant to reduce powder buildup and help keep transfers cleaner throughout the process.
