If you’ve followed Michelle’s Party Plan-It for a while, you know I love projects that aren’t just cute. I want them to be functional, too. That’s exactly what inspired my newest product, Peel-A-Pocket™!
I’ve been working on these behind the scenes for a while, and I’m so excited to finally share the first Peel-A-Pocket collection with you.
What Is a Peel-A-Pocket™?
Peel-A-Pockets are decorative adhesive pockets that you can add to your Bibles, scrapbooks, journals, planners, notebooks and other paper projects. They’re exactly what the name says: peel, stick and you have a pocket! Simply peel away the backing, place the Peel-A-Pocket wherever you want it, and you’ve added functional storage right to your project.
You can use the pocket to hold all those little things you want to keep, including:
• Photos
• Notes
• Journaling cards
• Prayer cards
• Ticket stubs
• Receipts
• Ephemera
• Small keepsakes
• Memorabilia
But I didn’t want to make just another basic adhesive pocket. I kept thinking, why can’t the pocket itself be part of the design? That’s when this idea really started getting fun.
Instead of hiding a plain pocket behind your scrapbook layout or journal page, the Peel-A-Pocket becomes part of the project.
Adhesive Pockets for Scrapbooks and Memory Keeping
One of my favorite ways to use Peel-A-Pockets is for scrapbooking.
There are always little pieces of a memory that don’t necessarily need their own spot on the page but that you don’t want to throw away either. Maybe it’s a ticket from a baseball game, a little note someone wrote, an extra photo, a receipt from a special trip or a journaling card with more of the story.
That’s exactly the kind of thing you can tuck inside a Peel-A-Pocket™. And because I wanted the pockets themselves to contribute to the design of the page, each one has its own theme and personality.
Meet the First Peel-A-Pocket™ Collection
I created several different designs for this first limited collection, and each one gives you a completely different way to Pocket the Moment.
Pan Dulce Peel-A-Pocket™
The Pan Dulce design is colorful, nostalgic and inspired by all those beautiful treats you might find at a Mexican panadería.
It’s perfect for photos, little memories, family keepsakes, recipe journals and scrapbook layouts.
The Pan Dulce Peel-A-Pocket™ measures approximately 4.4 inches wide by 5 inches high overall and includes a coordinating sticker.
Baseball Game Day Peel-A-Pocket™
If you’ve ever scrapbooked an entire baseball season, you already know how many little things you collect along the way.
Tickets, schedules, photos, notes, scorecards and other game-day memorabilia all need somewhere to go.
The Baseball Game Day Peel-A-Pocket™ gives you a functional place to keep those smaller memories while becoming part of your baseball scrapbook layout at the same time.
It measures approximately 4.2 inches wide by 5.25 inches high overall and includes a coordinating sticker.
Prayers & Answered Peel-A-Pocket™ Set
This may be my favorite from the entire first collection.
The Prayers & Answered set includes two coordinating adhesive pockets that I designed specifically with Bible and prayer journaling in mind.
Write down a prayer, add the date and tuck it inside the Prayers pocket. When that prayer is answered, you can move it into the Answered pocket.
Over time, the Answered pocket becomes a tangible reminder of God’s faithfulness and the prayers you’ve seen answered. I’ve added these to my own Bible, and I love having a dedicated place to keep my prayer notes.
The Prayers pocket measures approximately 4 inches wide by 5.3 inches high overall, and the Answered pocket measures approximately 4 inches wide by 4.82 inches high overall. (Prayer cards are not inlcuded)
Mummy Gummies Halloween Peel-A-Pocket™
Of course I had to make something for Halloween! Mummy Gummies looks like a colorful Halloween candy package filled with little gummy mummies.
Use it in an October journal, Halloween scrapbook, planner or memory book to hold Halloween photos, journaling cards, party memories and trick-or-treat keepsakes.
The Mummy Gummies Peel-A-Pocket™ measures approximately 4 inches wide by 4.45 inches high overall and includes a coordinating sticker.
Dumpster Fire “It’s Fine” Peel-A-Pocket™
And then there’s the dumpster fire. Because sometimes the memory isn’t exactly scrapbook worthy, but we’re keeping it anyway.
The Dumpster Fire Peel-A-Pocket™ is for those “IT’S FINE” moments that deserve to be documented right along with everything else. Use it for funny memories, work stories, travel mishaps, journaling or those days that didn’t quite go according to plan.
It measures approximately 4.14 inches wide by 4.91 inches high overall and includes a coordinating sticker.
How to Use Peel-A-Pocket™ Adhesive Pockets
Using your Peel-A-Pocket™ couldn’t be easier. Peel off the backing, position the pocket on your project and press it into place.
That’s it.
Now you have a decorative, functional pocket ready to fill with whatever you want to keep. You can add Peel-A-Pockets to scrapbook pages, journals, planners, Bibles, notebooks, memory books and other paper projects.
I especially love that you don’t have to redesign your entire project around the pocket. You can add one wherever you realize you need a little extra storage.
Peel It. Stick It. Fill It.
That’s really what Peel-A-Pocket is all about.
I wanted to take something as simple as an adhesive pocket and turn it into something you actually want to feature in your project instead of hide.
And this first collection is only the beginning. Peel-A-Pockets will be released in limited drops, so individual designs may not always return once they’re gone. I already have more designs and ideas in the works, and I’m excited to keep expanding the collection.
The first Peel-A-Pocket™ collection is available now in my shop, including the individual designs, the Prayers & Answered set and the complete Launch Collection.
If you add a Peel-A-Pocket to your scrapbook, Bible, journal, planner or another project, be sure to tag Michelle’s Party Plan-It. I would love to see what you put inside yours and how you Pocket the Moment!
Pray, create and celebrate!
