Halloween Mummy and Me Photo Album
It’s Tutorial Tuesday and I’m sharing a fun little Halloween photo album my middle son and I made together using some cute Sizzix dies by Brenda Pinnick.
Before we began cutting, my son picked his favorite Halloween pics from past years and coordinating Halloween scrapbook paper. Starting with the Album Cover & Page Die, we selected 4 sheets of coordinating paper and we made a sandwich by placing the bigz die in between two standard cutting pads and running it through the Big Shot. We repeated this process 4 times to get 16 pages in total. We then adhered 2 pages back to back to create 8 thick pages and added 3 binder rings.
Using the Boo Phrase with Frame die and sandwich method, we die cut the title for the cover page out of black card-stock and adhered it to the cover.
For the next page, we started with the Sizzlits Jack O lantern die from Halloween Set #2 and the Mummy w/Tomb Bigz Die. To die cut the Jack O lantern, we placed the cutting pad and Sizzlit on tab 1 of the Extended Multipurpose Platform, added a piece of orange cardstock then added the second cutting pad to make the sandwich and passed it through the Big Shot. We then die cut the mummy out of white cardstock and adhered both pieces to the page. Next we added a photo of my sons on the opposite page.
Moving on the the next page, we die cut the Black and White Gravestone and yellow Moon from the Graveyard Sizzlits Set and added a black crow from the Halloween Set #2. We then added a photo of my sons, boy have they grown since then!
Using the Count Dracula Bigz Die, we selected 5 pieces of paper and stacked them on top of the die and sandwiched the paper and die between two standard cutting pads. Then passed it through the Big Shot. This was a huge time saver! We then carefully picked out each piece and assembled the die cut. Isn’t he fantastic?
For the next page, we used the Beware Sizzlit, also from the Halloween Set #2, and die cut the word out of black card-stock. Next, cut Frankie out of black and green card-stock using the Frankenstein w/ Treat Bag Bigz Die. Using the same methods described above, we cut all the pieces with one pass through the Big Shot. We then adhered all the die cuts to the pages and added a picture of my werewolf son from a few years ago.
For the next two pages, we added a group photo of our little trick-or-treaters and a picture of my son and I carving pumpkins in 2009. ( Ahh, I was preggo with my little man there!)
Moving on to the next page, we die cut the word Sweet from the Sweet w/Skull & Top Hat Bigz Die Set and left over gift bags from the Frankenstein Die. We then added our favorite photo together on the opposite page. He’s my “mini me”. 🙂
Next using the Little Pumpkin Sizzlits Set, we die cut the background of the frame on black card-stock and added the skull from the Sweet w/ Skull & Top Hat Die, the crow and cross from the Graveyard set. And for the opposite page, my son added his favorite photo of his daddy and I from Halloween 1999. Ha!
For the back cover, we decided to add a fun witch using the Witch w/Broom Bigz Die. Again, to save time we chose 6 pieces of paper and stacked them on top of the die and sandwiched the paper and die between two standard cutting pads. Then passed it through the Big Shot. We then assembled the die cut and adhered it to the back page.
And there you have it, our Halloween Mummy and Me Photo Album! We had a great time creating this little craft together!

Thank you Beverly! Best of luck, Woohoo!!!
What a great project and love the album you guys did a great job! I love albums full of memories and precious family moments. What a great giveaway also thanks for the opportunity. My favorite part of Halloween is having my friends over with the kids after a night of trick or treating for pizza, snacks, dessert and fun love to watch the kids dump all the candy on the floor to see what they got and the Dads who try to steal the good stuff without being noticed.
Thank you! Halloween is so much fun with friends!
