DIY Valentine’s Day Dog Bandana
Do you have any fabric napkins laying around? If so, check the labels to see if they are 100% polyester cause you may be able to create a spiffy Bandana for your fluffy pal! This project is a sublimation project, so you will need a sublimation printer to complete it, but if you don’t have one you can always cut the image on your Cricut with iron on vinyl and apply it to any fabric napkin!
Since I created this one with my sublimation printer, we’ll be going over that process for the purposes of this tutorial, so let’s get into it! Interested in sublimation? Check out my Beginner’s Guide to Sublimation to get started!
What you will need:
100% polyester fabric napkin (or any scrap piece of 100% polyester fabric)
Heat Press (I used my Easy Press)
Heat Resistant Tape
I created a quick video to share with you, so check it out below…
What do you think? Doesn’t that look easy? Let’s go over the steps…
Download and print the design on your sublimation printer.
Press the napkin to remove wrinkles and moisture.
Set the Easy Press to 390 degrees and the timer to 60 seconds
Place butcher paper on the heat press mat and then lay out the napkin. Remove lint and dust with the lint roller.
Place the image on the napkin and secure it with heat-resistant tape.
Cover with butcher paper and press.
Remove the butcher paper and print to reveal your design.
Literally takes less than 5 minutes from start to finish to create this project! I hope you give it a try. And if you do, please tag me on social media @michellespartyplanit, I’d love to see your furry pal modeling their new digs!
