How to make Valentine Cutaway Cards
If you are a Cricut Crafter, you know about the Cricut Joy and the fun Cards you can make with the Card Mat. But did you know that Cricut now has a Cricut Mat that you can use with the larger Cricut Maker and Cricut Explore machines? It’s really cool and I’m happy to show you how it works. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, let’s go over how to make Valentine Cutaway Cards!
What you will need:
Cricut Maker 3 or Cricut Explore 3
Weed Tool
Valentine Card Design in Cricut Design Space
I created a quick video to show you the process, check it out below…
Now that we’ve seen the process, let’s walk through the steps…
Step 1:
Start by opening the design in Cricut Design Space. Pick the Cutaway Cards from the material list and follow the prompts to make 4 cards. Select more pressure for a clean cut.
Step 2:
Next, remove the paper liner from the card and place the insert card face down. Repeat for all 4 cards.
Step 3:
Insert the cards on the card mat and load them into the machine. Make sure to move the white wheels to the center so that they don’t leave indentations on the cards.
Step 4:
Send the design to the machine and cut.
Step 5:
When done, remove the mat and gently remove the cards from the mat. Start weeding. This is a tedious task with this design, but trust me it’s worth it!
What do you think? Aren’t they pretty? I love the different color combos and shimmer.
I hope you get a chance to try out this project. If you do, please tag me on social media, I’d love to see what card color combo you create.
Happy Crafting!
