How to Make Magnetic Bookmarks with the Cricut Joy Xtra
I recently purchased the new Cricut Joy Xtra bundle and this is my first print then cut project with it. I am pleasantly surprised on how accurate the cutting was with this little machine! Of course, I use my other Cricut machines all the time to print then cut, but this little machine just seemed to cut perfectly without a hitch. I calibrated it per the instructions in Cricut Design Space and it worked perfectly. Let’s go over what you will need to start…
Materials Used to make Magnetic Bookmarks with the Cricut Joy Xtra:
Koala Holographic Laminate Sheet – https://amzn.to/48ISMIb
I used this design in Cricut Design Space made by Sanqunetti Design
Let’s start this project in Cricut Design Space…
Step 1:
Open the design in Cricut Design Space. Resize if needed, however I have them sized to fit on one sheet of 8.5×11 paper. Click Make It.
Step 2:
To get all 4 bookmarks on 1 sheet, move the bat book mark over to the first sheet. You do this by clicking the 3 dots on the right hand corner of the image and move it to page 1. Rotate it 90 degrees and fit it on the page as shown above.
Step 3:
Once you have it set up on the page, send the project to your printer. Select the highest quality print and the appropriate paper setting for the paper you are using. Load the photopaper in your printer and print.
Step 4:
For the cutting settings, I selected heavy cardstock material with more pressure as shown above.
For the rest of the project, I created a step by step video to walk you through the process. Check it out below…
What do you think about the Magnetic Bookmarks with the Cricut Joy Xtra ? Aren’t they adorable? If you have a Cricut Joy Xtra, I hope you give this project a try! It can also be made with the Cricut Makers and Cricut Explore machines. 🙂
