By now you must know that I love love love Halloween. I’ve always loved dressing up, decorating the house and taking the kids out for Trick or Treating. Over the years I have collected quite an impressive Halloween Decor Stash, and I usually convert the whole down stairs into a “Haunted House” for the kids. Now that my youngest is at an age where he gets a little spooked, I decided that instead of decorating the house, I’d create mini themed parties every week or so until Halloween. I was a little advantageous this week and set up two to share. This Black and White Skull party and a Black, White and Gold Party that I will share tomorrow.
As I have shared in the past, I have a corporate day job. Well, my husband and I actually work at the same company (we met at work 18 years ago). One of the biggest perks of working with your husband is eating lunch together everyday, it’s like a date everyday. We’ve had daily lunch dates since we were dating and I love it! We eat, we talk, we run errands together and of course we shop! Lately, we’ve been spending our lunch hour at the new shopping center down the street from the office which has a brand new HomeGoods! So you know I am there at least once a week to see the latest goodies to add to my growing party collection. With the holidays almost here, I may have to start going twice a week. Ha!
These skull LED candles caught my husband’s eye during one of our recent lunch dates and became the inspiration for our mini Halloween party. I have a lot of skulls in my stash, so it was perfect!
While perusing the latest Oriental Trading Company (OTC) catalog, I found this awesome canvas Halloween banner that coordinated perfectly with my black and white theme.
I love owls and just had to have this little white owl perched on a tombstone. This is from my Halloween stash which I add to every year, I always hit Target early on November 1st to snag decor at more than 50% off.
These DIY goblets were a cinch to make, I just added a little white vinyl Sizzix die cut and washi tape to these awesome black plastic goblets from OTC. Best part is the vinyl and washi tape are removable so I can change them up to match any theme!
I love how different this black pumpkin is, it looks like it has chains on it. So eerie and reminds me of my teenage goth days!
I filled a couple of glass jars with gumballs and coordinating candy packs from OTC. They are filled with skull and bone candies, so fun!
These little Wicked pumpkins were too cute to pass up, I also found them at HomeGoods.
I had my eye on this Harlequin skull for the past couple of weeks and finally decided to take it home with me. Isn’t it perfect?
These black bottles also from OTC were the perfect blank canvas. I converted them into Poison bottles by adding white vinyl using my Sizzix. You may see these again in an upcoming pirate p-arr-ty! (see what I did there?) I also made the white spider webs in the background with my Sizzix Big Shot Pro and some Kunin Group Felt. I’ll share a step by step tutorial later.
I love these canvas tote bags from OTC, they matched perfect! I filled them with gumballs for the kids.
I made a simple Skull banner for the front of my table using my Sizzix Big Shot. I will be sharing the tutorial soon, so stay tuned!
I found a skull and cross-bones silicone ice cube tray at the dollar store a couple of years ago, which was perfect for some candy melt toppers!
Skull napkins, another Target clearance find from last year.
Using my Sizzix Big Shot, I created these fun Spooky Ghost Coffin Favor Boxes and coordinating Cupcake toppers.
And that’s it, our mini Black and White Halloween Skull Party! I hope you are inspired to create your own little party to count down to Halloween!
Where do you love to shop for Halloween Decor? I’d love to hear from you!
Remember to come back tomorrow to see my Black and Gold Halloween Party! Just subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss out on the spooky fun!
Happy Haunting!

Okay, I am obsessing over that black pumpkin! It is so cool! I also love the little white pumpkins that spell out “wicked.” Love it!
Thank you Logan!
I love your Halloween decorations. So excited for Halloween.
Fun! I usually don’t do “scary” decor, but I am really loving the b&w theme here! Awesome job!
Wow this is all so awesome. We don’t do Halloween parties but if we did this would be perfect! Love black and white!
Thank you Jeanine!

Thanks so much!
I love the idea of having weekly mini parties. Such a cute idea and you really went all out with the decorations. I love it!
I want to dress up in my goth outfit and come over! Looks great!
Love the decor. Very cute and fab. This gave me a few ideas for my party.
I love the black and white theme for a Halloween party. That ‘wicked’ white pumpkin set up is so eye-catching and I really like the harlequin-looking skull in the middle.
Love the idea of melting chocolate in the ice trays. Awesome set up and ideas!
