Twine
Hole Punch
Starting with the Mat Board and Yellow Felt, place the felt on top of the Mat Board and make a Sizzix Sandwich with the Circle die. Pass it through the Big Shot and set aside.
The sandwich for all the dies used in this project is as follows: Cutting Pad, Bigz Die, Material and a second Cutting Pad.
Note: I used a retired CLEAR die for the circle which required the sandwich to be a little different, but if you are using a regular Bigz Die, you’ll follow the sandwich explained above.
Moving on to the heart eyes, place two small felt squares on top of the desired heart shape on the Heartfelt Die and pass the sandwich through the Big Shot. This die is one of my favorites for Valentine’s Day because there are several fun sizes to choose from for different projects.
Using the hot glue, adhere the yellow felt circle to the Mat Board and the heart eyes to the felt.
For the mouth, you can free hand cut a half circle. Or if you happen to have the Kiss Mix die, simply place a small square of black felt on the die and pass the sandwich through the Big Shot. I used the Kiss Mix Bigz die a lot this season. You can see how I used it to make His & Her Mugs, includes a fun little DIY video! This die also has hearts that would work great for this project as well.
Simply cut the circle in half for two happy mouths.
Adhere the mouths to the yellow felt and you have your own Emoji Coasters! Make a few more and you have a set!
For the tags, simply print out my free printable.
Cut and hole punch.
Now it’s time to add your autograph! Sign your name and wrap the set of Emoji Coasters with baker’s twine for the perfectly happy little gift!
And that’s it! Wasn’t that a cinch? I hope you are inspired to create your own set of DIY Emoji Coasters for your Valentine! These are also great for parties! If you’re planning an Emoji party soon, be sure to check out all my other DIY Emoji Ideas!
