How to Decorate a Tea Cart for Every Season
Do you have a bookcase, mantle, or tiered tray that you switch up for every change of the season and holiday? I have a vintage teacart and tiered tray set in my living room that I like to decorate on the regular. It’s one of my favorite pieces of furniture and it’s so versatile. You may have seen my tea cart in other posts through the years, but today it’s all about the seasons and holidays. I have collected several themes to share with you that can be used year after year.
It’s no secret that I collect Rae Dunn but with the recent conversion of our dining room to my Dream Craft Room, I no longer have my big hutch to display my collection. So my tea cart and the tiered tray will be my go-to spot for displaying my holiday collections. Don’t have a tea cart? Check out this cart selection, there is something for everyone!
January – Winter Theme Cart
Kick-off the start of any year with a winter-themed tea cart. Not only is this theme a fresh start, but you can often reuse your Christmas decor to stretch out the holiday season a tad longer. Naked flocked Christmas trees with white lights pair nicely with the snow-themed decor. Add white string lights and fake snowballs or more winter night ambiance.
February – Valentine’s Day Cart
Start the month of love with a pink and white Valentine’s Day Tea Cart. Soft pastel pink paired with coordinating florals brings a romantic feel to the whole display. Adding layers of fur rugs and pillows just add to the romance!
March/April – Easter Cart
Carry on the soft pastels and florals into March and April for a whimsical Easter Tea Cart. Adding yellow chicks is reminiscent of peeps and don’t forget the coordinating bunny decor!
May – Spring Bee Cart
Welcome Spring with a yellow and black Spring Bee Tea cart. This theme matches perfectly with all the spring flowers and great for someone who loves gardening and the outdoors! Add bee hive birdhouses, florals, and mini bee decor to round off the look.
June – Summer Beach Cart
One of my favorites is this Beach themed Tea Cart for June. Mermaids, seas shells, starfish, and fish netting tie the theme together nicely for the beach-loving collector! I love the splash of good that elevates the whole ensemble.
July – 4th of July Cart
4th of July is one of my favorite holidays and this Red White and Blue tea cart beams with patriotism! Adding garland is a step back in time to the parades of the past. Small decor pieces like wooden firecrackers take the theme a step further, All we need is some sparklers!
August/September – Tropical Cart
Say aloha to summer with a tropical-themed tea cart. Island decor pieces, fishnets, and luau garlands create a display worthy of any mini-retreat! Tikis and palm tree decor add that special touch!
October – Halloween Cart
A black cat-themed Halloween Tea Cart decked out in black and orange really pop on the white furniture. This nostalgic theme is classic and can be used year after year! I love all Halloween decor pieces, it takes me back to my childhood!
November – Fall/Thanksgiving Cart
Fall into November with pumpkins, acorns, and pumpkin spice! This muted color palette with soft sage green and bright orange pairs nicely with the white accents. My personal favorite piece is the pumpkin-shaped coffee mug!
December – Christmas Cart
Last and certainly not least, is this Reindeer themed Christmas Tea Cart! These retro reindeer decor pieces pair nicely with plaid garland, wood bead garlands and nice large wall art. My favorite are the Reindeer mugs and matching plates, those cheeks are adorable!
I hope you are inspired to create a small corner to decorate for all the seasons and holidays. Which one is your favorite? I’d love to hear from you!
