Pack Thanksgiving Leftovers with Munbyn
Last month I shared how you can use your Munbyn Thermal Label Printer to pack up Halloween treats, this month is Thanksgiving so it’s all about the food and those coveted leftovers!
Everyone loves Thanksgiving leftovers, so why not share the bounty with your guests using your Munbyn shipping labels and stickers? No need to worry about getting back your beloved Tupperware or Rubbermaid containers that can’t be reheated easily, anyway. Grab some of the foil tins with cardboard covers and personalize them with your Munbyn Thermal Printer! Your guests can easily reheat their food directly in the oven, just remove the cardboard cover and pop it right it. I even made reheat instructions that you can print on your thermal stickers with a place to write the date for safe consumption (not that leftovers are ever forgotten).
Before we get into the tutorial, let’s go over the Munbyn Thermal Printer. You may wonder why I would use a Munbyn Thermal Printer for leftovers when I can just as easily use a printer and sticker paper. Well, the bottom line is cost and ease. With the thermal printer, I don’t need to worry about refilling ink or purchasing special inkjet sticker paper. Plus the stickers come in different colors that sticker sheets for inkjet printers do not. Not to mention the speed! Once you set up your design, printing it faster than any inkjet printer that I’ve used. Especially if you plan to use your Munbyn Thermal Printer for other needs like shipping labels, thank you stickers, and other small business marketing, using it for labeling Thanksgiving leftovers is a no-brainer!
I created a quick video to show you just how easy it is to pack Thanksgiving Leftovers with Munbyn so check it out…
I told you it was easy!
Let’s go over everything you will need:
Munbyn Thermal Printer and Label Stand
2 inch Circle Stickers (I used brown to go with Fall, but there are also pastels available)
Aluminum Foil Pans with Lids (I found these that work great with the labels)
Sharpie Marker or other permanent marker

My Reheat Labels for 2×2 Circle Labels
Now that you have everything you need to print your own special Thanksgiving leftover labels and reheat stickers, simply download my pdf files using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Set up your printer parameters to print on the 4×6 labels or the2x2 labels for the stickers. Load the shipping labels or stickers in your printer (this is where the label stand comes in handy) and click print. The Munbyn will do all the work and it’s fast! There are also pink and blue shipping labels available if you want to add color too!
Do you want to design your own labels in Word, learn how to create stickers using Word here.
Once your labels are printed, simply apply them to the foil pan cardboard covers (the white side, not the foil side). Grab a sharpie and add the date to the circle temp stickers. Be sure to let the sharpie ink dry, cause it will smear if you don’t. You can add the labels and stickers before your guests arrive, so that they can pick their own lid as they pack their food. or you do it for them. However you do it, it’s sure to be a hit with your family and friends. This idea isn’t just for Thanksgiving, it works for Friendsgiving and potlucks too! You can also make your own with fall graphics like leaves and pumpkins for other seasonal get togethers, the possibilities are only limited by your creativity.
Don’t forget to make some foil pan covers for the desserts! Not everyone has room for the famous pumpkin pie after turkey and all the fixings, so send it home with your guests along with the other Thanksgiving leftovers. Just don’t add the temp label, that’s why I created them separately, so you can use the main labels for cold items that don’t need to be reheated.
Didn’t they come out cute? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love how this little shipping label printer has opened so many possibilities for a variety of my projects and crafts. I especially love that I don’t need to refill the ink and the thermal labels come in large quantities which will last me a long time. It prints in high resolution with a crisp look and saves time. It can print 72 labels per minute! Another favorite feature that the labels are BPA-free, which is great for when you are using them near food like these foil pans. Did I mention how cute it is? I especially like the pink color and white color of the printer, it matches my craft room perfectly even though I use it for kitchen projects like this one!
