I created a quick video showing the assembly of the card holder, check it out below:
Let’s go over the steps:
Step 1:
Start by opening my project in Cricut Design Space. It has been sized and modified to hold a gift card.
Step 2:
Load heavy cardstock on your mat and load the marker in your Cricut machine. Select heavy cardstock as your material and follow the prompts in Cricut Design Space.
Step 3:
Once done, fill in any circles that need it and remove the ghost from the mat.
Step 4:
One of the best parts of crafting is adding your personal touch! Here are a few ideas to customize your ghost gift card holder:
- Add Embellishments: Attach a small ribbon to the top of the ghost to turn it into a hanging gift tag or decoration. You could even add glitter, stickers, or Halloween-themed embellishments like mini pumpkins or bats.
- Customize with Names: Using a Cricut pen or adhesive vinyl, write the recipient’s name or a Halloween message like “Boo to You!” on the ghost.
- Add a bow: Add a small bow to it’s head and it’s a cute girlie ghost!
Once your ghost gift card holder is finished, it’s time to use it! Slip in the gift card, and you’re all set for gifting.
- Gift it as a stand-alone holder, or use it as a fun way to give a treat card at a Halloween party.
- Attach it to a gift bag or present, making it a unique part of your Halloween gift wrapping.
- Hang it as part of your Halloween décor if you added a ribbon loop—it doubles as a spooky, cute decoration!
Tips for Success:
- Use different materials for a unique look—felt, foam, or glitter cardstock can add texture and personality to your ghosts.
- Duplicate the ghost in Design Space if you’re making multiple holders. This will save time by cutting several at once.
