We recently had the honor of being chosen to host a Cars themed party for the DisneySide @Home Celebrations campaign! It couldn’t come at a better time since we were getting geared up for my son’s fifth birthday party. My son decided on an Army party theme and since Sarge has always been his favorite Cars character we decided to show our #disneyside with a Sarge inspired Army party!
When we received the overstuffed box of Cars party supplies, my son and I were over the moon with excitement! It was filled to the gills with goodies! We had several games planned and any goodies we didn’t use at the party made perfect game prizes.
My son’s party will be featured in the Spring Issue of Twinkle Twinkle Little Party Magazine, so I have to wait to share all the photos. But here are a few sneak peeks of the inside of Sarge’s Surplus Hut and the fun games! (Please come back to see all the details including the large Sarge inspired backdrop my husband constructed!)

Sarge’s Surplus Hut was stocked with party favors and candy for the guests to fill their “tanks”. My husband constructed an awning for the camouflage netting and we hung up our American Flag with pride for a backdrop.
I displayed buckets of party favors which included toy grenades, personalized pencils, rockets, gliders, army men, bouncy balls and army men erasers.
Can’t have a Sarge inspired party without Sarge!

It’s party time!
We played several games; Ring Toss, Bag Toss, Pinata and even a Boot Camp obstacle course complete with inflatable tires and orange cones! We also played “Medic!” and the kids raced to wrap their fellow soldier in bandages (toilet paper). It was a blast!
Everyone had a great time showing their #disneyside with our Sarge inspired Army Party!
