Are you ready to say goodbye to 2016 and HELLO to the New Year? 2016 was an awesome year for me, I was blessed with so many open doors that lead to amazing experiences. I’m kinda sad to say goodbye to 2016 but I’m excited to see what 2017 has for me.
Side Note: I’ve actually dreaded 2017 for 17 years, ever since my first son was born. You see, 2017 is the year he will graduate and go off to college, so I’m not too excited about him leaving. I’m hoping and praying he decides to stay close to home so we can have him a little while longer. I want him to spread his wings, like all parents do; but I don’t want him to leave me just yet. Whatever he decides, I will support him 100% no matter how sad I may be when/if he leaves.
But enough of that sad story! Let’s get ready for New Year’s Eve! (affiliate links below)
New Year’s Eve
I’m excited about New Year’s Eve, every year I create a small spread of finger foods for my boys and we watch movies until it’s time to countdown to the New Year. This year, I set up a small Bar Cart for our drinks and desserts, decorated in aqua, gold and a splash of black. I hung tulle as my backdrop along with gold circles for the “bubbly”.
I added fringe picks to my cake for “fireworks” and placed it on my cake stand.
Added “Cheers” stirrers to our wine/cider glasses.
And set out clock themed dessert plates.
Along with plastic Cheers To a New Year plates. Aren’t they cute! I just love them!
Sparkling Apple Cider to toast the New Year!
And last but not least, a Marquee sign wishing everyone a Happy New Year along with a few top hats for fun!
