Christmas preparations are underway, but New Year’s Eve will be here before you know it! Have you started thinking about your New Year’s resolution yet? This year, we have taken a “less is more” approach to Holiday parties. Small celebrations with focus on family and friends is a resolution I plan on carrying over to 2018. So why not kick off the New Year with a small New Year’s Eve Party?

Bubble & Bright New Year’s Eve Party
I never get tired of styling my bar cart, it works for so many occasions. You can see last year’s NYE Party HERE.
There’s nothing better than creating custom party decor with my Cricut Explore Air 2, it’s really one of my favorite ways to make my parties unique! So of course I wanted to customize a few items for my NYE party!
I wanted to spruce up my plain wine glasses, so I added Cheers cut in Cricut Silver Vinyl using my Cricut Explore Air 2™. I also dressed up the stems with small Gold Glitter Wine Glass Flags.
For the decals, I used the Friday Font which is included with the Cricut Access subscription. If you have a Cricut machine and don’t have a Cricut Access Subscription you really are limiting your possibilities. I absolutely love being able to have 1000s of images and fonts available to me at my fingertips. I have a good supply of cartridges that I linked to my account, but with Cricut Access, you really do get so much more!
Whenever cutting vinyl, I make sure I use my Cricut BrightPad to weed the design.
Even the simplest designs are easier to weed with the back-lit surface. If you weed a lot of vinyl like I do, I definitely recommend you add a Cricut BrightPad to your crafting arsenal!
For the Wine Glass Flags, I simply searched “drink flag” in Cricut Design Space and the “Drink Wrap Flag” image came up, which is included with my Cricut Access Subscription.
I resized the image to about 6 inches to fit perfectly around the stem of my glasses. You can find the resized design HERE. It’s super simple to adjust the sizing on ready made designs in Cricut Design space, simply change the length and width dimensions and you’re good to go!
Using the Cricut Font Friday again, I created a quick CHEERS cake topper and cut it out of Gold Glitter Cardstock. You can find my finished design HERE. Simply set the Cricut Explore Air 2 dial to Custom and select Glitter Cardstock as your material. Cut and weed using the weeding tool and hot glue to wood sticks to place in your cake! Super easy!
I love the Cricut Gold Cardstock, it’s the perfect thickness for Cake Toppers and DIY party decor.
I set up a backdrop of NYE Bubble & Bright Paper Fans from Oriental Trading. I love the color palette of mint, peach, silver and bronze. Perfect for mixed metal accents!
I have a thing for honeycomb decorations so I hung a cluster of these pretty Champagne Diamond Honeycombs on the side of my Bar Cart.
Carrying on with the mixed metal color palette, I filled a jar with Silver Horns.
You can’t toast the New Year without some Champagne Flutes and cheers stirrers! I set out the Rose Gold Dot Flutes on gold coasters.
Don’t forget a clock for the countdown!
Of course we had to have pretty napkins and plates! Just the right size for appetizers!
And that’s it! A simple but festive New Year’s Eve Party to ring in the New Year with family and friends!
I hope you are inspired to create your own party decor with your favorite Cricut machine. And if you don’t have one, be sure to enter the awesome giveaway for a Cricut Maker!
Cheers!
