Summer is just around the corner, which means it’s the perfect time to make a DIY Lemonade Stand! I’m excited to be partnering with Sparkling Ice® and Albertsons to bring you a fun DIY Tropical Lemonade Stand that you can build in under 15 minutes! Not only is this the perfect project to make with your kids, it’s super easy, and there are no measuring or cutting tools needed. Now that’s a project that’s speaking my language. So let’s get started!
How to Make a Lemonade Stand in Under 15 Minutes
My son has been asking for his own lemonade stand for weeks. Now, with the warmer weather, I figured it was the perfect time to whip one up for him. Not only is this design ideal for outdoors, it is very versatile for imaginative play. You can flip it around for a fun farmer’s market or potting table. Or you can use it as I did, and change it up throughout the summer for a poolside beverage bar! I know my son will think up many fun ways to use his new lemonade stand for things other than lemonade, and I can’t wait to see them all!
For this project, all you will need is a drill, screws, hammer, nails, 2 wood yard sticks, spray paint and 5 wooden crates. And of course, you’ll need plenty of refreshing Sparkling Ice Black Raspberry, Sparkling Ice Orange Mango and Sparkling Ice Strawberry Lemonade!

Not only do you not need to haul a bunch of lumber home to cut and measure, the crates provide lot’s of built-in storage for function and decor. You can also paint the wooden crates before assembling, but I wanted to leave them natural to go with the tropical lemonade stand we were making.
Start by stacking 3 crates on their side to create a large tower. This will actually become the tabletop.
Next, screw the crates together. You may want to pre-drill the holes so the wood doesn’t split. Drill the screw in the inside of the crate, repeat in all corners.
Once you have connected the crates, lay the tower on its side on top of two vertical crates placed at both ends. Be sure to line up the table top and the crates, so you can have a sturdy structure.
Screw the top to the two bases with four more screws in each crate. That’s literally all you have to do to create the stand in under 15 minutes!
Now, it’s time to add a little structure, so you can hang a sign or decor above the stand. Grab 2 wooden yard sticks and spray paint both sides of each stick in your favorite color. Let dry.
Once the paint has dried, nail one on each side to the stand’s top. I used two nails for each stick.
You can position the stick toward the front of the stand or in the middle. I decided to connect it in the middle, so we can use both sides of the stand for different displays.
Now it’s time to decorate! We wanted to give our lemonade stand some tropical flair, so we hung tropical flowers above the stand and set out several fake topical leaves as a table runner. My son dug out his favorite decorations from my luau party supply stash and added them on top of the lemonade stand. And of course, we had to have our favorite Sparkling Ice!
We added more drinks in the built-in storage area, cause you never can have enough Sparkling Ice on hand!
Fun tiki tumblers with bamboo paper straws and flower picks added an extra tropical touch.
Our outdoor rug and coordinating pillows made the space extra comfy and inviting for his imaginary lemonade patrons. My son was so excited to finally have his own Lemonade Stand, he can’t wait to set it up out front for his grand opening this summer!
I hope you are inspired to create your own DIY Lemonade Stand in Under 15 minutes!
Happy Creating!
