How to Make a Halloween Wreath with Dollar Tree Mops
It’s no secret I love some affordable DIYs and of course, Dollar Tree is my go-to place for inexpensive craft supplies. I have shared several Dollar Tree projects for the Spooky Season in the past and this Ghost Wreath is my latest creation. If you have seen my post explaining How to Make A Dollar Tree Gnome for Halloween, then this project will be familiar. The idea actually came to me when I was taking my Halloween decorations out and found extra supplies from that project. Then it hit me! I thought it would make a cute ghost for my door.
What you will need:
- Pumpkin Tinsel Decoration
- 3 Mop Heads
- Felt or Foam Sheets
- Scissors
- Adhesive (I like to use Xyron Sticker Makers)
I created a quick video tutorial to walk you through the process, check it out below.
@michellespartyplanit Let’s make an adorable Ghost Wreath with Dollar Tree items! #dollartree #wreathmaking #dollartreecraft #halloweendiy #halloweendecor #ghost #doordecor #howto #tutorial #dollartreediyprojects ♬ Ghostbusters – Ray Parker Jr.
Step 1:
Remove all the tinsel from the tinsel pumpkin.
Step 2:
Pull out the strands from the mops, you will end up using all 3 mops.
Step 3:
Loop the strands all around the frame as shown in my video.
Step 4:
Separate the strands to add volume.
Step 5:
Cut eyes and a mouth from cardstock or craft foam sheets.
Step 6:
Attach the eyes and nose with adhesive. The sticker maker is perfect for this project.
Step 7:
Hang it up on your door! (For indoor or covered patio use, you don’t want the mop to get wet in winter!)
Don’t want to hang it on your door? It also looks great as wall decor!
