How to Make a Ghost Pillow with a Beanie
As I was saying, Ghost pillows are all the rage these days. And trust me, I love them! But I don’t like ghost hunting at the stores, I’d rather shop online. So, I don’t have much of a chance of finding the coveted pillows at some of these retail stores. So why not make a ghost pillow with a beanie and just one stitch of the sewing machine (or fabric glue)? Let’s get into this adorable craft idea…
What you will need:
Cricut Machine of your choice (I used my Joy)
Black Heat Transfer Vinyl (I used HTVRONT for this project)
Sewing Machine or Fabric Glue
And this Design in Cricut Design Space
I created a quick video showing the process, check it out below:
So easy, right?
Let’s go over the steps …
Step 1:
Start by stuffing the beanie with polyfil. You can make it as full as you like.
Step 2:
Pin or clip the opening.
Step 3:
Stitch the opening shut with a sewing machine. Or if you prefer, apply fabric glue to close the opening.
Step 4:
Next, open the design in Cricut Design Space. I already sized it to fit a regular-sized beanie, but you can resize it as needed for your pillow.
Step 5:
Add HTV to your mat with the shiny side down and send the design to your machine. Select Iron On from the materials list and don’t forget to mirror! Cut and weed.
Step 6:
Turn the mini press on and set it to the high setting. Center the HTV on the pillow and press. Peel and you’re all set!
Isn’t he the cutest littleghost pillow you have ever seen? And oh sew easy! 😉
I hope you give this project a try! If you do, please tag me on social media @michellespartyplanit. I’d love to see how your ghost turns out!
