Fall is in full swing which means lots of fun rustic Lumberjack parties are sure to be popular. Lumberjack parties are one of my favorite themes for this time of year. I can’t wait to share two Lumberjack parties I styled with you soon! But until then, here is a simple tutorial on how you can make your very own Tent Cake Topper for an upcoming celebration. These also make great place-cards for the guest tables!

Isn’t it adorable? Let’s get started!
DIY Tent Cake Topper – Lumberjack Party Ideas
What you will need:
Start by cutting 4 of the Birch Straws down to 6 inches long. Then cut one straw 6.5 inches long and the last two should be about 4.5 inches long.
Next, you will glue two of the 6 inch straws to make a tee pee shape. Repeat so you have two sets total.
Next, open the napkin and hot glue the 6.5 inch straw to the fold, making sure it’s centered.
Now you will hot glue the longer straw with the napkin to the “tee pee” sides creating the tent structure (the left image is an aerial view of how it should look).
Next, glue the small 4.5 inch straws between the legs of the structure to add stability.
Add a small amount of glue to the bottom of the napkin to secure it to the straw, making the side of the tent.
Lastly you will wrap twine around the top of the tent and middle straw, adding reinforcement to structure.
And that’s it! Super simple and perfect for any Camping or Lumberjack Party! You can even add guests names to the side for the party table with some vinyl or a marker.
I hope you give it a try and let me know what you think!
