It’s time for back to school and I’m excited to be partnering with Cricut to bring you two fun and easy back to school projects! My youngest goes back to school after labor day and he’s very excited to start 4th grade with his custom shirt and lunch pail. So let’s get started on these fun projects!

Easy DIY Back to School T-Shirt with Cricut
School is about to start for a lot of kids in our area. In fact, my middle son started his Senior year in High School today! Where does the time go? They grow up so fast! Luckily, my youngest still loves for me to make him shirts and accessories for school with my Cricut Maker.
These two projects are super easy to make with the Cricut Maker, EasyPress 2 and Everyday Iron-On Vinyl. All you need is a plain shirt and a lunch pail that has some space for personalization.
What you will need:
- Cricut Maker
- Cutting Mat
- Everyday Iron On Vinyl in colors of your choice
- Weeding Tool
- EasyPress 2
- EasyPress Mat
- Iron On Protective Sheet
- My Too Cool for 4th Grade Design in Cricut Design Space
- My Lunch is My Favorite Subject Design in Cricut Design Space
Start by loading the StrongBond Vinyl on to the mat with the shiny side down and load in your Maker. Do you know about the StrongBond™ Guarantee? Basically, when Cricut Iron-On is used as directed, you’ll be completely satisfied with the results. If not, they’ll replace it for free!
Open the design in Cricut Design Space, make sure to select the right material and mirror image button. Send it to your Maker to cut.
Once the files are cut, weed the vinyl.
Iron the shirt with the EasyPress 2. Place the shirt on the EasyPress Mat and center the design on to the tshirt.
Set the EasyPress 2 to 315 degrees for 30 seconds. Place the iron on protective sheet on top of the shirt and press. Let cool for 30 seconds then remove the clear film.
Next place the images on the design and repeat the process.
To layer the black accents, place them on top of the bus and press again. Let cool for 30 seconds and remove the clear film.
And that’s it, we’re ready for back to school! Wasn’t that a cinch?
DIY Back to School Lunch Bag with Cricut
Now moving on to the Lunch Bag. This is a super easy way to personalize your child’s lunch bag without having to add their name. I’m positive no other kid will have this exact bag, so chances are my son will be able to find his bag during lunchtime chaos!
The basic process is the same for the lunch bag. You cut the file with the maker on StrongBond vinyl. Don’t forget to mirror the image! Weed then center the design on the lunch bag.
My son’s lunch bag is vinyl, so I set the EasyPress 2 to 28o degrees for 30 seconds. I also placed a few paper towels in the lunch pail so that the lining wouldn’t get too hot and melt.
