How to Make X-Ray Halloween Candles in Under 15 Minutes
It’s no secret that I love crafting for Halloween. Especially, when I can do so affordably and easily with little effort. This fun project is not only easy on the wallet, it’s easy on your schedule. So let’s get started!
What you will need:
- LED Pillar Candle ($1 at the Dollar Tree)
- X-Ray Paper
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun
- Tape
- Sharpie
I created a detailed step by step tutorial to share my process for creating the candles. Check out the video below and if you like it, please give it a thumbs up and consider subscribing to my channel!
I’ve also added screenshots for your convenience below!
Step 1: Trim the x-ray paper to fit around the candle.
Step 2: Hot glue two pieces together to create a sleeve around the candle. (Regular glue won’t work well for this, be sure to use hot glue)
Step 3: Wrap the x-ray paper around the candle and secure with a piece of tape. Using a sharpie, outline the rim of the candle.
Step 4: Trim the paper along the line you marked with the scissors.
Step 5: Wrap the x-ray paper around the candle, lining up the rim and secure with Hot Glue.
And that’s it! Super easy and inexpensive DIY decor for your Halloween collection!
I hope you give my project a try and check out the new book! Also be sure to check my Budget Friendly Haunted Mirror also made from Dollar Store finds!
Happy Crafting!

I looked at Michaels and I can’t find the x Ray paper. Any suggestions where I can find it?
Hi! That’s the only place I found it, but that was last Halloween season. If you have access to a printer, you can print some on transparency paper.
