Teacher Appreciation Gift Bag Idea
I created these gift bags and posted the idea on social. I received lots of comments wanting to know more. I initially created the sticker portion of the project in Canva and hand cut them. I imported the pencil png that I found in Creative Fabrica into Cricut Design Space and added my son’s name and used the print then cut. Unfortunately you can’t share a Cricut project with uploaded images, so I so I figured I’d recreate them in Cricut Design Space. I wasn’t able to replicate it exactly, but it’s very close. You can change the fonts and colors easily in Cricut Design Space to make them your own. Let’s go over what you will need…
Supplies Used:
Sticker Paper for the bag label
Photo Paper for the Pencil Tag
Inkjet Printer
Mini Paper shredder for bag filler
Cricut machine of your choice (excluding Cricut Joy, it doesn’t have the print then cut feature)
Ribbon
I created a video showing you the assembly of this project, check it out below. (this was made before I re-created the shareable project in Design Space, so I didn’t use my Cricut to cut the sticker)
Now let’s go over the steps:
Step 1:
Open my project in Cricut Design Space. Resize as needed for your bags and preferences. You can change the colors and fonts by unflattening the images and then flatten them again when you’re done.
Step 2:
Send the project to your machine. The first image will be the sticker for the bag, send it to your printer and print on your favorite sticker paper. You can either cut them with the Cricut or cut them like I did in the video. If you use your Cricut, select heavy cardstock as your material and follow the prompts to cut.
Step 3:
Next, send the tags to your printer and print them on your favorite photo paper. Place the print on your mat and select heavy cardstock as your material and follow the prompts to cut.
Step 4:
Apply the sticker to the front of the bag and decorate it with washi tape.
Step 5:
Add ribbon to the tag and attach it to your bag. Add your gift and tissue paper etc, and you’re all set!
I hope you give this project a try, and if you do please tag me on social @michellespartyplanit. I’d love to see your finished project!
