Ever wonder what to do with left over party stationery? I always like to save elements from my parties to be included in my scrapbooks. We recently celebrated my son’s 5th birthday with an Army Party and I saved some of the party stationery that I created for his scrapbook.
Let’s get started!
I wanted to frame and alter some of the stationery so that I can include it all in one page. To do so, I used the following Sizzix items:

Sizzix® Bigz™ Die – Tea Time by Tim Holtz®
Sizzix® Thinlits™ Die Set 102PK – Alphanumeric (1″ Tall) by Tim Holtz®
Clear Circle Bigz Die (no longer available)
3 inch x 4 inch card #3 Thinlits

Starting with camouflage 12×12 scrapbook paper I trimmed off the sides of the Army Treat Box I had made and converted it into a pocket to hold a sentiment from the Thank You Cards I sent out. I then added some glittery stars I die cut using the Stacked Stars Bigz Die and the sandwich method.
For the Bigz dies, the sandwich method consists of 1 cutting pad, the Bigz die, card-stock and a second cutting pad. The sandwich is then passed through the Big Shot.
For the Thinlits, the sandwich method consists of the magnetic platform, 1 cutting pad, card-stock, the Thinlits and a second cutting pad. The sandwich is then passed through the Big Shot.
Using the magnetic platform , the 3 inch x 4 inch card #3 Thinlits and plain card from the Nautical Thinlits set, I added a camouflage card with tan card stock backing. Next, I wanted to incorporate some of his Invitation, so using the Clear Circle Bigz die and the sandwich method, I die cut the “5” from the back of the invitation. I then distressed it with a little bit of black ink and added it to the page. Then I added another star and adhered it with 3d tape. Next, I created a pennant using the Pennants Bigz Die and the sandwich method, and attached it with some baker’s twine.
Next I added one of the remaining napkin/cutlery holders I made for the party. It made a perfect pocket!
Using the magnetic platform, the sandwich method and plain card Thinlits from the Nautical set, I die cut some of the paper stationery (Ammo Bag Toppers, MRE Bag Toppers, Tent Cards and a photo of my son) I designed to be used as journal cards. I then distressed the edges with black ink and added them and a left over Coaster to the pocket.
Next, I added a photo from the Thank You Cards and framed it using the rope frame from the Beach Explorer Thinlits set and the sandwich method. I then layered 4 stars I die Cut with the Stacked Stars Bigz die and a row of stars I die cut with the Old Glory Bigz die and glued them around the frame.
And that’s it! An easy way to convert leftover party stationery into a memory page!
