The Merriest time of year is upon us and I kicked of the Christmas Crafting season with the first MPP Crafty Party this past weekend. As you know, I love crafting and creating, so I wanted to gather local party planners, bloggers and crafters together for a day of crafting. I had been working on getting everyone together for some time now, the theme kept evolving and dates changed until I was finally able to get a date that worked for everyone. The timing ended up being perfect, because everyone was excited to start the Christmas season with crafts!
Michelle’s Party Plan-It Christmas Craft Party
Before we dive into the details, I want to give a HUGE thank you to Ana of Ana’s Creations for opening her home for the event! Thank you my friend, I appreciate your generosity!!!
The DESSERT TABLE
I have always loved the chalkboard look, so when I saw some Chalkboard Christmas decor at Hobby Lobby, I had to have it for the party. I also found some coordinating items at Tuesday Morning and Oriental Trading Company. For the dessert table, I baked a batch of vanilla cupcakes and topped them with fun reindeer and Santa sleigh toppers that I made with my Sizzix Big Shot Plus. I also served some brownie bites.
The CRAFTS
I reached out to my friends at Sizzix and they were generous enough to provide dies for party favors. I also contacted American Crafts and they generously provided DIY supplies for our craft projects. American Crafts sent gold washi tape, burlap bows, pennant banners, notecards, glitter and paper for our crafts.
A BIG thank you to Sizzix and American Crafts for helping make the event a success!
I kitted four projects for us to craft during the party. We started with a Chalkboard Mason Jar Note Card. Each guest received a Mason Jar Bigz Die and the 3D Flower Bigz Die so we made cards with using the dies from Sizzix and supplies from American Crafts.
We also made Snowflake bottles with vinyl and coordinating snowflake coasters with mat-board. See my full tutorial HERE.
For those attendees unfamiliar with Sizzix, I gave a little demonstration on the Sizzix Big Shot and Sizzix Big Shot Plus, explaining the different materials they can cut and the different types of dies available.
I also shared the latest dies and Paper Leather.
We also created a Pennant Mini Album with the American Craft DIY SHOP Pennant Banner and twine along with the Evergreen Bigz Die and Joy Bigz Die.
Each guest received a gift bag of WOW! Glitter from American Crafts as well as Washi Tape and Burlap bows.
I brought all my Christmas stamps, paper and dies for everyone to use.
Each guest received a favor bag filled with the supplies and dies as well as their kitted projects. I also made them each a favor treat popper filled with mints.
The RAFFLE
Each guest had a chance to to win some awesome prizes provided by Sizzix. The grand prize being the new Sizzix Big Shot. We also raffled some of the latest Christmas Dies by Tim Holtz and a copy of the Upcycle Book.
The FOOD
I ordered catering from Olive Garden and boy, was it an awesome spread! Complete with salad, garlic bread, Chicken Parmigiana, Spaghetti, Fettuccine Alfredo and Peach Tea. The meal even included decadent desserts, cutlery, plates and cups! Thank you Olive Garden, everything was delicious!
The CRAFTERS
Thank you ladies for coming, it was so much fun. Attendees (clockwise from the left) Blanca of Creativities Galore, Ana of Ana’s Creations, Silvia of Classy Detailed Events & Creations, Arlene of She Wears the Crown, Laura of Make Life Lovely, Carmen of Carmen Navarro Designs and Laura of Laura’s Little Party.

Thank you for visiting and Happy Crafting!
