Howdy crafters!
Are you looking for an easy craft for your next party?
I love fabric and I love garland. I also love making fabric garlands for my parties. I almost always have a garland of some sort in front of my party table. But if you know me, you know I don’t like to do anything that takes longer than three simple steps. So I’m going to let you in on a little secret…I cheat! Yes, you read that right. When it comes to my fabric garlands, I cheat…BIG TIME. I have ZERO patience for cutting fabric by hand, that’s why you don’t see me sharing quilts. It’s not for me. I hate measuring! So whenever I want to make a garland for my table, I rely on my Sizzix Big Shot. No sewing, no hand cutting, no measuring, no straight edges…just a few simple turns of a handle and I’m done!
Let me show you how!
No Sew Garland
Want to give it a try? Here is what you will need…(affiliate links below)
Sizzix Bigz XL 25″ Cutting Pads
Sizzix Bigz Die Strips 2″ Wide XL 25″ Die
1/2 yard cotton fabric in Red Dots
1/2 yard cotton fabric in Black
1/2 yard cotton fabric in Yellow
Ribbon
Scissors
Instructions:
The Sizzix sandwich for the Bigz dies is as follows: Cutting Pad, Bigz Die, Fabric and second cutting pad. To ensure the least amount of waste, simply fold the fabric along the blades of the die and pass it through the machine!
Once you have all the strips cut in the desired colors, simply tie them onto a length of ribbon.
Now just hang it up!
That’s it! Talk about a time saver!
I hope you try it out and let me know what you think! And don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel for more simple party ideas!
