How to Sublimate a Farmers Market Tote – Sublimation Craft for Beginners
It’s the season for trips to Farmers Markets and swapmeets! So why not Sublimate a Farmers Market Tote for your summer outings? It also makes a great reusable everyday shopping bag. I love this project it’s so easy and perfect for crafters just starting with sublimation. This is also a great product to add to your online store, Etsy shop, or pop-up shop! So let’s get into the details…
What you will need:
Heat Press (I’m using my Cricut AutoPress)
Sublimation Tote (I really like the totes from Michaels)
This Design Creative Fabrica (Sign up for an annual subscription at a great deal HERE)
I created a short video showing you the sublimation process, check it out below….
Step 1:
Download the design and resize it as necessary to fit your tote. Print on your sublimation printer on sublimation paper. If you need to make the design bigger than the paper size for your printer, check out my favorite hack.
Step 2:
Press the tote to remove wrinkles and moisture.
Step 3:
Set the Heat Press to 390-400 degrees and the timer to 60 seconds
Step 4:
Place butcher paper on the inside of the tote. Remove lint and dust with the lint roller.
Step 5:
Center the image on the tote and secure it with heat-resistant tape.
Step 6:
Cover with butcher paper and press.
Step 7:
Remove the butcher paper and print to reveal your design.
Step 8:
Repeat steps 4-7 on the reverse side of the tote.
Wasn’t that a cinch? I just love this little farmers market tote. I hope you check out all the other designs available to you at Creative Fabrica, so many great sublimation graphics and fonts perfect for crafters of all skill levels.
