It’s no secret that Halloween is a big deal in our house! It’s not unusual for us to host a party or two with family and friends. We are so excited for Halloween this year, that we hosted a Monster Mash Party with our friends to kick off the season!
This post is part of a sponsored collaboration. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
Monster Mash Party
I have always loved the classic Monsters; Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster and the Mummy. So, when I saw the latest Spritz Masks from Target, I knew we had to host a classic Monster Mash. The boys had so much fun crafting and playing, I’m excited to share all the details!
Let’s get started!
Monster Mash Party Table
I wanted to set up little party table as well as a table where the kids could craft, so I started with a backdrop. I’m in love with all things black and white stripes lately, so I decided to hang a black and white stripe backdrop for big impact.
I hand-painted three Monster canvases for my backdrop. We didn’t want anything too scary, so I made cute versions of the classic monsters.
Of course, the party table had to have treats for the kiddos! My friend Wynter of Sweets from Heaven handcrafted these adorable Candybobs.
I also embellished a few popcorn boxes and filled them with popcorn and candy.
My friend Katherine of Creating Awesomenessity made us the wonderfully detailed cookies.
When I told her about the cute Masks from Target, she surprised us with AMAZING mask cookies!
Have you ever seen cuter cookies?
Monster Mash Craft Table
Since one of the activities we had planned for our little party was to craft the cute Monster Masks; I decided to set up a little crafting table for the kids.
I lined the table with a striped table runner and set out a mask for each guest, as well as little cookie buckets.
The Mask Kits didn’t require any other supplies, which was super convenient for both me and the kids!
Party Decorations
I hung up a bunch of Dracula’s Bats from our chandelier, another great Target find!
The DIY Haunted House, also from Target, made the perfect centerpiece.
Of course, I couldn’t resist the jointed Skeleton! So many great finds at Target this season!
Time to Craft!
Once the guests arrived, we were all set to craft. Each child had their own mask to create; and with very little direction from us parents, they built them in no time at all!
Photo Fun!
I’ve never seen a cuter bunch of Monsters! The kids had a blast making their own masks and really got into character! We even draped a little bit of gauze on our little mummy friends for the full effect!

And that’s it! Our little Monster Mash Party! I hope you are inspired to craft your own little Monster Mash with the latest Halloween decorations now available at Target!
Happy Haunting!
