Are you ready for Christmas? Don’t worry, there’s still time to create some fun and Easy Santa Cookies with the kids! Not only are these cookies tasty, they double as Photo Props, perfect for family Christmas gatherings on Christmas Eve!
I can’t think of anything more fun than some edible photo props for a kids party! With a little bit of imagination and a printable beard, the kids can play Santa and have a yummy treat.
Let’s get started!
Easy Santa Cookie Photo Props
What you will need:
- Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies (round, not peanut shaped)
- White Chocolate melting candy
- Jumbo Paper Straws
- Red gumballs
- Knife
- Spoon
- Wax paper
- Glue or Double Sided Tape
To start, cut one sandwich cookie in half. Put one half aside and separate the other half. Scrap off all the peanut butter and place it on wax paper with the smooth side of the cookie facing up. Melt the white chocolate according to the package instructions and with a small spoon cover the smooth side of the cookie with chocolate. Next, cut another sandwich cookie in half and place both pieces on top of the chocolate. Let the chocolate harden before moving on to the next step.
Next, cover the all three halves of the cookie with chocolate and place the red gumball between the two cookies. It should set nicely on the bottom cookie. Add extra chocolate around the gumball to secure it, if necessary. Let harden. Once the chocolate has hardened, any excess chocolate can be flaked off easily by hand. Next, add a generous amount of chocolate to the back of the cookie to secure the jumbo straw then let harden.
While you wait for the straw to harden to the cookie, you can print out my FREE Printable Photo Booth Props. Once the cookie is secured to the straw, attached the beard with glue or double sided tape.
And that’s it! The most adorable photo prop ever!
