Hi friend! If you’re a Nightmare Before Christmas fan, you’ll know the season doesn’t end on 10/31 that is why I’m sharing how to sublimate a Glow in the Dark tumbler with Oogie Boogie for all the holiday season! So let’s get started!

How to Sublimate a Glow in the Dark Tumbler
I had made this tumbler for myself and shared in on my Facebook page, and I received a lot of comments asking for the design. So I’m here to share how you can make this Oogie Boogie design on a Glow in the Dark tumbler for yourself with Cricut!
First we’ll go over the design in Cricut Design Space. I created the template using an Oogie Boogie design available for purchase in Cricut Design Space. My template is already sized for a 20 ounce Tumbler so all you need to do is send it to your sublimation printer.
If you would like to change the font to match the one I used in the video below, download Burton’s Nightmare from dafont.com, available here. Once you have the font downloaded in your system, you should be able to locate it in Cricut Design Space under System Fonts. Now all you have to do is unflatten the image, and change the font on the text and then flatten when you’re done.
Note, you will not need to use your Cricut cutting machine at all for this to work. But you will need 8.5×14 sublimation paper for the design to fit. Make sure the right paper is selected, send it to your printer and don’t forget to mirror in your printer dialog. You don’t have to mirror in Cricut Design Space. Once it’s printed just trim around the image to fit your tumbler.
The process for sublimating a Glow in the Dark Tumbler is no different than any other tumbler. And your temperatures and pressing time will depend on what method you use to sublimate it. Oven settings differ from settings for a traditional tumbler press or an automatic tumbler press like the HTVRONT Auto Tumbler Press. Refer to the manufactures recommendations for those settings, because I have found that they vary as well.
I used a 20 Skinny Glow in the Dark Tumbler with my Sublimation Oven and my settings were 356 degrees F for 6 minutes. I created quick video to show you the sublimation process and results, check it out below…
To recap, here is what you will need to sublimate this Oogie Boogie Glow in the Dark Tumbler.
Glow in The Dark 20 ounce Tumbler
My design in Cricut Design Space
Let’s walk through the step shown in the video for a Glow in the Dark Tumbler:
Step 1:
Print the design as described above, trim to fit your tumbler. Prep the tumbler by using a lint roller to remove the lint and dust. Wrap your design around the tumbler and secure it with heat tape.
Step 2:
Insert the tumbler into the shrink wrap and apply heat with the heat gun until all the wrinkles are removed. Be careful not to apply too much heat in one spot, it will melt the shrink wrap.
Step 3:
Set your oven to 356 degrees and the timer to 6 mins.
Step 4:
Once the oven is at the correct temperature it will beep, then with a heat-resistant glove place the tumbler into the oven and close the door. The timer will start immediately, so be quick in putting the tumbler in the oven. You can always reset the timer if needed.
Step 5:
When the timer beeps again, using the heat-resistant gloves remove the tumbler from the oven. Some people say to let it cool, but I find it best to remove the shrink wrap immediately otherwise the sublimation process will continue. Carefully with the gloves, remove the paper and tape to reveal the design.
And that’s it! I hope you give this project a try, and if you do, please tag me on social @michellespartyplanit. I’d love to see your creation!
