Do you know someone graduating this year? This cute graduation gift card holder is perfect for any grade…Kindergarten, 6th Grade, 8th Grade, 12th Grade and College! I’ve done all the work for you with the creation of this project in Cricut Design Space, so let’s go over the supplies you will need.
Supplies Used
Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker of your choice
Cricut Scoring Tool
Heavy Cardstock
Dimensional Foam Adhesive
Gift Card
Button
Embroidery Floss
Scissors
I created a quick video showing you the process, check it out below:
Let’s go over the steps…
Step 1:
Open my project in Cricut Design Space. It is already sized for a standard gift card size, so no resizing needed.
Step 2:
Load heavy cardstock on your Cricut Mat and load the Scoring Stylus in your machine.
Step 3:
Select Heavy Cardstock as you material and send the project to your Cricut.
Step 4:
Once cut, remove the paper from the mat carefully like shown in the video to reduce curling of the paper.
Step 5:
Fold the card at the score line. Apply adhesive and fold closed.
Step 6:
Make a tassel using embroidery floss and scissors. Place the thread through the hole in the cap shape and tie a knot at to keep it in place.
Step 7:
Add dimensional foam squares to the back of the cap and line it up with the cap on the card.
Step 8:
Glue a black button in the center to cover the hole on the cap. Move the tassel to the side.
Step 9:
Insert the gift card into the slot of the Graduation Gift Card Holder and you’re all set!
What do you think? Wasn’t that super easy? I hope you create this project for upcoming Graduations!
